Are you a university student studying in Malaysia?
Are you as a student in this pandemic facing issues like.. bearing financial burdens to support your family, stressed over academic results and performance, tempted to spend your time on unending entertainment, pressured to not lose out by earning more side income, faced with loneliness, anxieties and depression?
If you said yes to any of these, my friend, you are really not alone in this.
Yes the struggles are real and we are in difficult times but let us not be discouraged nor get carried away by the worries of the world!
Instead, let us “stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming" (Matthew 24: 42)
And "let us hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another"
(Hebrews 10:23-25).
We are encouraged to engage in a Christ-centred community, to not abandon our meeting together, and to always be intentional in encouraging one another in love and good deeds. Not only are we to engage with the believers but to engage with the lost, giving them hope that can only be found in Christ.
Would you join us on a journey together and on a journey with many others?
We hope that through this NDC - Campus Movement track, we are able to:
To deepen the conviction and vision of building movement through disciple-making among campus students in Malaysia.
To engage you (students) in a community and create momentum in making disciples in your respective campuses.
To expose you (students) to the best practices in making disciples digitally in the campus setting.
Campus Digital Mission Trip (Freshman Outreach Campaign FOC)
This Digital Mission Trip on 17 - 19 September will focuses on helping the campus students to generate contacts among the freshman who are entering university soon and reach out to them during Freshman Outreach Campaign (FOC) through pray, care and share, bringing them into the the existing community.
This DMT (FOC version) is a platform to cast the campus vision to our students and understand that FOC is a golden season of the year we shall never miss out! This DMT is a time in which all students gather and make preparation for freshman outreach, kick starting the new semester! We want to invite our freshmen to come to the Saturday night “Senior Junior Campaign” and mobilise them to invite their friends who might be in need of help too. Through this, we are able to generate more freshmen contacts and mobilise the seniors to pray, care and share the good news with them, both felt needs and real need (Gospel).
We welcome all of the existing CLC students in our campuses in Malaysia to be involved! Not only that, we welcome those campus students who do not have CLC campus movement too, so that it deepens your vision for your own campus and convict you to start a spiritual movement in your campus.
Who is eligible to join NDCDMT?
Strictly just for all the Christian campus students. We encourage all the students who are involved in the CLC campus movement to be involved. However, if you are not exposed to CLC campus movement, we highly welcome you to be on this journey to experience building spiritual movement in campus according to God’s will.
If I am entering campus soon, can I be joining?
We encourage you as freshmen to only join us for the Senior Junior Campaign on 18/9 (Saturday night). This is a time to meet your seniors from different campuses. Meanwhile, you certainly are welcomed to join our NDCDMT. The relevant track for you will be: The Essential Skill to Build Multiplying Communities OR The Significant Project Preview.
What preparation is needed before joining DMT?
You will be placed into groups according to your campus. Staff will have briefings with the core students/team leaders from time to time. Prepare a humble heart to learn, a compassionate and prayerful heart to reach out to our little brothers sisters who are soon to be our juniors! Be prepared that probably the core students/team leaders will gather with you and others if necessary. Just make yourself available and communicate as a team!
How can we communicate with each other?
You will be added into our Whatsapp group upon registration. Most of the announcements or information will be communicated there. Oh ya, make sure you are being added into our FB community group: “GO21 - Every Believer is a Disciple-maker!”
What is the Senior Junior Campaign about?
It is a campaign to connect all the seniors from different campuses to the freshmen who have yet to know their campuses and seniors in the campus they are going to enroll in. All of the freshmen are invited to join (not limited to only Christians).
