I am Mrs. Schroeder and I am teaching 6th-8th grade math and English! I received my degree and teaching license from Carthage College. I have taught in technology schools, private schools, and public schools. Additionally, I have experience teaching at both the high school and middle school levels, where I have mostly taught in the social sciences. I have been trained in project based learning and believe strongly in preparing and assessing students on 21st century skills. Throughout my teaching career I have also been an active soccer coach I coached track for JPIIA the past two years. This is my third year at JPIIA and I will be leading student council and helping out with JASP for junior high. I am looking forward to a great year!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy camping every summer, singing and playing handbells for ensembles, reading, and figure skating. I am close to my family who still lives in Illinois and I love decorating for the holidays!
