In elementary education, STEAM refers to an educational approach that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. It encourages students to explore these subjects not in isolation, but through hands-on, project-based learning that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. STEAM aims to prepare students for future careers and challenges by developing a well-rounded skill set applicable to various fields.
Kindergarten, first-grade, and second-grade students at Sidney will have a STEAM class approximately once a week for 45 minutes.
