We started the year off with a bang! Each class filled a gallon size Ziplock bag full of water, then we poked SIX pencils into the bag and not a drop of water leaked out! The polymer chains in the bag grabbed onto the pencils to keep the water in!
COMPUTER SKILLS
Second grade has spent a significant amount of time learning basic computer skills. They have learned how to create a Slides presentation. They can now change the color, size, and font of a text. They can insert a photo of themselves and worked a little bit on animating an image through stop motion.
MARBLE MAZES
Second Grade created marble mazes this week! They were given a paper plate, straws, and one foot of tape. I didn't get many photos because we were BUSY! Sophia took the idea home and RAN with it. She made a huge maze at home with cardboard, straws, and tape.
