Hi! My name is Mrs. Ackman and I am so excited to be a part of the SID 5 Pre-K team! I received my degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Western Illinois University and have been working in early childhood for over twenty years. I live in Schuyler County with my husband, two daughters, and our two dogs. In my free time I love to go kayaking and do LOTS of reading! This is going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and adventures and I can't wait to see what it has in store!

Hi! My name is Tara Lewis and I have been teaching Pre-K and early childhood special education for 24 years.  I grew up in Rushville and graduated from Western Illinois University with a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. When I'm not with preschoolers or my family, I can usually be found in a quiet spot with a book.  My favorite part of teaching early childhood is seeing children realize their own potential as learners. I'm excited to be a part of your child's first school experience and look forward to a fantastic year!

Hi! My name is April Bennett and I am very excited to be joining the SID 5 Pre-K team! I have over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and will be graduating with my Master’s in December from Western Illinois University. I live in Colchester with my husband Evan and my daughter Gracie along with our 4 dogs and a cat. In my spare time you will find me reading a good murder mystery or browsing a local thrift store for a special treasure. My favorite aspect of teaching is all the love and smiles I get each day. It’s a pure joy to watch those little “aha” moments happen in a child and I am so excited to be part of the learning process! We are going to have such a fun year learning together!
