Hello Parents, Students, and Staff,

I am so excited for the 2025-2026 school year. I am looking forward to meeting the Freshman students and welcoming our returning RIHS students. I have several sections of Life Skills Math and one section of Direct Study this year. I hope this school year brings many new experiences and opportunities for the learning process. I like using hands-on activities in the classroom, and I also like technology to support instruction. This same technology can also be used at home to help students build confidence in their abilities. I am looking forward to working with my students during the 2025-2026 school year.  

The first day of school, August 14th, my students and I will discuss the class expectations. I also have the class expectations posted in Google Classroom. On August 18th, students will be assigned the textbook to be used for the class in which they are enrolled. We will also begin the Chapter 1 notes for each class. Google Classroom will be used in each class to post class materials and some assignments. All AIWD assignments will be posted in Google Classroom. I will send an email out to each class to inform them of the AIWD assignment for the day. Hopefully, we will not have to use them.

On a personal note, this is my last year teaching. I will be retiring at the end of this school year. I would like to thank my administrators for the privilege of working in this school district. I have worked with some GREAT Teachers/Paraprofessionals/Building Support Staff/and Students over the last 25 years. It has been a privilege to work with so many dedicated teachers and staff. Thank you for all the great memories.
