First, think as a family about what humans need to survive on Earth, since this is what we're most familiar with!
Grown ups, ask your kids these questions:
"What do you need every day so that your body stays safe and healthy?"
"Are there things that you could probably live without?"
Next, look at the icons and ask your family members what they think they mean.
All living things need food, water and a place to live safely (shelter).
It is also to have a way to communicate with others.
Now, take your piece of paper and start making a list.
Have someone from your family take notes as you think back on your day - what did you eat? What did you drink? Where did you take shelter?
Is there anything else that made you feel safe and comfortable? Write this down too!
