During this eSeminar, participants will learn how Sacred Heart 91st Street developed and grew their onboarding program for new faculty/staff. Their program places focus on Sacred Heart’s mission and the Goals & Criteria while also engaging new faculty/staff in robust, year-long professional development that is practical and authentic to today’s voice. This is an opportunity for Sacred Heart schools interested in reviving and expanding the way in which they build community and shared values with new employees. Participants will hear the story of how 91st Street created and evolved their onboarding program over the past eight years. They will also engage in group conversations and reflect on ways to enrich their own program.
Participates will:
Discuss the purpose of an onboarding program as specific to Network schools: an integration of mission, professional development, and employee well-being
Hear about the design process for the onboarding program at 91st Street: how it started, the initial pitch, key players, timeline, rollout, trials and tribulations, iterations, etc.
Learn the format of the current onboarding program at 91st Street: number of sessions, scheduled throughout the year, session topics, collaborations, etc.
Reflect on their own onboarding practices and ways to evolve

Elizabeth Guillory is the inaugural Director of Diversity, Equity & Community Life at Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York. At 91st Street, she leads mission-based Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives for recruitment, retention, and belonging for educators, students, parents, and alumnae as well as conducts virtual meet-up sessions for the Network of Sacred Heart Schools focusing on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) and Education To Mission (ETM). Her professional experiences before entering the DEI space includes guiding families through the Sacred Heart admissions process, teaching in NYC public schools and providing public relations services for NYC-area based clients as Associate Vice President at Rubenstein Associates, Inc. She earned a Master’s Degree from Teachers College-Columbia University and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/English from Emory University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends in her neighborhood of Harlem, NYC.
Caitlin O'Neill

Caitlin O’Neill is a native New Yorker and attended Convent of the Sacred Heart at 91st Street for high school. She then went on to attain a BS in Psychology from Fordham College at Rose Hill followed by an MST with a Dual Certification in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from Fordham Graduate School of Education. Caitlin is also a graduate of the Klingenstein Center at Columbia University where she earned her EdM. Over the course of the past 14 years, Caitlin has worked at 91st Street. Her roles there have included teaching positions in First Grade, Second Grade, and Fourth Grade, as well as the Lower School Math Specialist, and the Lower School Dean of Academic and Faculty Development. She is currently the Lower School Curriculum Developer. During her tenure, she has served as the Director of the Mentoring Program for Associate Teachers, and she developed and ran the Onboarding Program for new faculty and staff across all divisions. She is the proud mother of three daughters, and she will serve as the Head of Lower School at Sacred Heart Greenwich starting in the 2024-2025 academic year.
