Holiday Boutique

Our annual Holiday Boutique provides students with the opportunity to shop for inexpensive holiday gifts for family and friends. Students will shop on December 3rd, 4th, and 6th. Adults are welcome and encouraged to shop with their student’s class (schedule below)!

We accept cash, check (made out to Birchwood PTA), or you can set up pre-payment by visiting https://www.misschocolate.com/. Click "Kidz Boutique payment" and enter code 301057 in the box labeled "Organization ID". Please send your student with money or the printed confirmation page for pre-payment, on their scheduled day, in an envelope labeled with their name and teacher.

We are looking for volunteers to help us set up the boutique, work the cash registers, help students shop, and break down the boutique on Friday. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Please click the photo to the left to volunteer. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to us, bwptaloop@gmail.com.

We encourage everyone to become a member - at the very least it gets you on the PTA email communications list so you will be 'in the know' for all upcoming events! Even if you never volunteer or attend a meeting you will see how money is being spent by the Birchwood PTA, upcoming events we are planning, programs we are sponsoring and the topics that we are discussing at meetings.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee is the most important of PTA committees. Two volunteers from general membership* will work closely with three current executive board members to solicit and nominate officers for the 2025/2026 school year.

The committee must be confirmed by membership at our general PTA meeting in January.

After confirmation they will meet once to nominate a committee chair and create flyers and a google form to solicit officer volunteers.

Once solicitation has ended you will meet again to create a slate that must be presented to general membership by April 24th and confirmed by vote at our general meeting on May 14th.

*Please note your membership must be in good standing to volunteer for this committee.

Future Yearbooks

To minimize the last minute scramble to search for photos for future yearbooks we have decided to start collecting photos throughout the school year. We are looking for photos of three or more Birchwood students at school or district sponsored events. Please no sports pictures, play dates or birthday party photos, etc. When emailing your photo(s) please include the event and school year in the subject line to help us better organize the collection. If you have any questions please email the appropriate email address below.

South Huntington Council of PTA's

The Birchwood PTA is proud to work with all 7 buildings across our district to form the South Huntington Council of PTAs. One of Council's most important initiatives is to the scholarship program for our graduating WWHS seniors. These scholarships not only benefit our oldest students, but are also a great opportunity to inspire our primary school students to achievement and teach them about community service. Thank you for your support and generosity in celebrating the successes of our students!
