No matter how much time you can spare, whether it’s a few hours a month or a single event, we welcome it! While many events take place during the school day, we have many behind the scenes opportunities that can be done at your leisure. Below I have listed volunteer opportunties we currently have available, but feel free to review our committees list to find what works best for you, your family, and your schedule.

• Classroom Parent Liaisons - collect cash donations from your class to create a class basket to be raffled at our annual Birchwood's Night Out 

• Art in the Afternoon - Assistant chair needed to help with organizing and supervising the events on March 13th and 21st. 

Our annual everyone shops the book fair will be returning January 22nd - 24th. Every year the PTA gifts every student an allowance to shop so that every student has the opportunity to take a book home.

Every 5th grade student and family can customize their yearbook with two free pages, which will print only in their yearbook. Parents can upload memories, quotes, and photos from Facebook, Instagram, and Google Drive. For help, visit the TreeRing guide: Creating Custom Pages.

Important Notes:

• The PTA has already purchased one free yearbook per 5th grader. Additional copies are available for purchase.

• Two free custom pages are included. Extra pages are $0.99 for every two.

• If you add more than two pages, you must purchase additional ones or remove the extras before finalizing your order.

• Custom pages are due by Wednesday, April 23rd—no exceptions.

Membership for the 2024 - 2025 school year is now open. The cost for each adult / student member is $10.00.

We encourage everyone to become a member - at the very least it gets you on the PTA email communications list so you will be 'in the know' for all upcoming events! Even if you never volunteer or attend a meeting you will see how money is being spent by the Birchwood PTA, upcoming events we are planning, programs we are sponsoring and the topics that we are discussing at meetings.

To minimize the last minute scramble to search for photos for future yearbooks we have decided to start collecting photos throughout the school year. We are looking for photos of three or more Birchwood students at school or district sponsored events. Please no sports pictures, play dates or birthday party photos, etc. When emailing your photo(s) please include the event and school year in the subject line to help us better organize the collection.
