All About Me
Middle School is so much fun to teach. I love the energy. I love the enthusiasm. I love watching the "lightbulb" go off when a student "gets it." I wouldn't want any other job in the world. I even wrote "music teacher" as my future career in my sixth grade yearbook.
I am starting year THIRTY of being a music teacher. WOW!!! I have been at Stimson for 26 of those years. While I teach orchestra now, I have also taught chorus. I majored in piano and love to sing. I have been in a professional jazz combo and did a LOT of theater before I had children.
When I'm not at school, I hang out with my husband and my two sons. One son has a job in the Sports Media field and is a graduate of Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. My other son is in 10th Grade, plays the trombone and is on the Golf, Tennis and Winter Track teams. My family and I love to take long walks, play games, travel, shop, hit the driving range and play with our five-year-old Golden Retriever, Barkley.
