Collegial Circles:

A Collegial Circle allows teachers to meet in an informal situation to share and investigate needs, interests or questions.  A Circle consists of up to six individuals who work together to plan common or connected instructional units, research new learning and instructional techniques or share professional development strategiesThere are two Collegial Circle options: Traditional or Mini Collegial Circles, which meet for a total of 15 and 5 hours, respectively.  A facilitator must be selected to handle record keeping.  Traditional and Mini Collegial Circle facilitators will receive a stipend of $250 stipend and $50, respectively.  All facilitators and participants have the option of receiving in-service credit and/or CTLE hours.  There is a $75 in-service fee for 15 hour Traditional Collegial Circles (1 in-service credit) and a $25 in-service fee for Mini Collegial Circles (1/3 in-service credit.)  Please email teachercenter@shufsd.org if you are interested in applying for a Collegial Circle.
