FUN FACTS ABOUT MS. BODENBURG

Some Info./fun facts you might find interesting about me....

I Graduated from Connetquot High School in 1995​ and ​Physical Education was my favorite class in high school!  My physical education teachers inspired me to pursue my dreams of becoming a teacher and coach.  

I am the youngest of 4 children.  

I am an experienced horseback rider; I have participated in rodeos and horse shows as a young rider and traveled the northeast.  

My mother was the FIRST female lifeguard for the Town of Islip and worked at Lake Ronkonkoma Beach in 1965.

 I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from C.W. Post/Long Island University and a Master of Arts in Education at Stony Brook University. + 60 post Master Degree credits. 

I coached Varsity Field Hockey at Walt Whitman High School for 10 years!  When I was blessed with my one and only beautiful daughter, Ava, I chose to take a pause coaching to focus on family. 

I have been teaching in the South Huntington School District for 23 years!  22 years teaching at Walt Whitman H.S. and this is my 1st year at Stimson Middle School. 

My favorite TV show is  "The Office" and my favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz. 

I love to swim and go to the beach, I find it relaxing and peaceful.
