Hello,

My name is Mrs. Kipling, and I am so excited to work with Oakwood's readers.  Oakwood is a truly special place, and I am very lucky to be part of the Oakwood family.  I have been teaching for 19 years.  I taught Kindergarten and 2nd Grade in New York City for 9 years.  I also taught reading at another Long Island district for 6 years.  This if my 5th year teaching reading at Oakwood.

When I am not at school, I am spending time with my husband and two children.  We love to go to the beach, read books and visit new places.  

Our time in the reading room will be filled with lots of memorable learning experiences.  Parents, I am pleased to work alongside you to ensure a wonderful reading experience for your child.  Many parents ask me how they can help their child.  One way that you can do this is by reading together on a daily basis.  I cannot stress to you enough how important this is to develop good reading habits for your child.  I am so excited to have a great year with you!
