Meet Mr. Schmidt

Mr. Schmidt lives in Greenlawn, New York. He taught at PS 398 in Brooklyn for three years. He joined South Huntington in 2004 and taught second grade at Countrywood for ten years. He joined his Maplewood family in 2015.

Mr. Schmidt brings enthusiasm and a creative approach to working with students. He teaches new skills and nurtures a creative "can do" attitude with every student.

When Mr. Schmidt is not busy helping students at Maplewood, you will likely find him at home playing guitar, walking his dogs, and spending quality time with his wife and son. Mr. Schmidt has also dedicated himself to helping families affected by pediatric cancer through his work as co-founder of Maggie's Mission.
