iReady Testing

All students in grades 7 & 8 will be taking the iReady Diagnostic during their regularly scheduled math period (whether at home or in school) on Thursday, September 17 and Friday, September 18.

The iReady Diagnostic is an assessment administered to all students in kindergarten to grade 8 in mathematics and English three times a year. The Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that provides teachers with valuable information about each student. Each child needs to complete the exam independently. Since the Diagnostic adapts to each student as they progress through the exam, no two students will experience the same questions. The typical student will see a combination of content they understand and content they are not familiar with at this point. The Diagnostic continually makes adjustments to the difficulty of questions during the exam to determine the strengths and areas of concern for each child. During the exam, the teachers will be available to help troubleshoot technical issues. If the teacher cannot resolve the problem during the class period, we will find a solution and administer the Diagnostic later. The math teachers will use the data from the Diagnostic to make instructional decisions.

Please see this website (https://rb.gy/wkhfez) which has information about the Diagnostic and family resources for students taking the exam at home.
