Unit 3: The Food Industry


From Farm to Table

The start of this unit will look at the impacts of modern day farming on the environment. Students will research and present information on the impacts of farming on both soil quality and food nutrional values. 


They will then look at The Perfect Farm. Students will analyze the new technological advances that have been made for farming practices but also the reasons they are not being implemented on a global scale


This unit will then culimate with a Sustainable Menu project. During this time students will look at the ingredients in their favorate meals and the ways these food choices could be made on a more sustainable level.
