ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Mrs. Crocco and I am so excited to be your child’s reading teacher this year!

I am a graduate of SUNY Albany and received a Master's Degree in reading from Adelphi University. I taught first grade in the New York City school system for several years and also worked in the South Country Central School District. I have worked at Birchwood for the past seven years and am a lifelong resident of South Huntington. I also currently have a child attending Walt Whitman High School in our district.

My goal for your child this year is to instill a love of reading through an engaging and nurturing learning environment. Our reading classroom is designed to increase confidence through targeted lessons and encourage all students to take risks in their learning. I’m looking forward to working with both you and your child this year!
