All policies are outlined in the student handbook . Rules, guidelines and expectations will be fully explained during the first few weeks of school. Most of the class procedures will be similar to what students may be accustom to in recent years There will be weeks in which students have P.E. two to three times a week, depending on the Day 1/ Day 2 schedule for that week.
To help you prepare for Physical Education Class we require students to have the following for class:
1) Athletic sneakers ( they should be laced to be tightly secure & supportive ) NO SLIP-ONS OR Designer Sneakers
2) Shorts ( athletic type, soccer style, - fingertip length or longer ). NO Sophies, Jeans or Cargo style.
3) "T"- shirt styled shirt, Tennis or Golf sleeveless style that covers top ofshoulders. No Tank tops or spaghetti strap shirts. No cropped shirts , must be long enough to do all activities without torso or skin showing.
If they wear a sports jersey with wide arm holes they must wear a T- shirt underneath. Anything written on shirts should be appropriate for the school setting.
4) No Jewelry for your safety and the safety of others. ( Exception - small post earrings.
*For colder weather you may need a Sweatshirt & or Sweatpants
*To stay in accordance to NYS Health guidelines, students must change for Phy. Edu. each time for class and then change back to their school clothes in order to return to class. (Prevention of disease, virus, bacteria, & in line to good hygiene) This is a our Physical Education policy ( To change for PE ) and therefore has an effect on their grade.
