Dear Silas Superstars,

I hope you have had a wonderful summer and are well rested. I am looking forward to a fun and productive year in Math. I will provide you with the information you will need regarding required materials, classroom policies, and procedures.

Materials:

5 subject spiral notebook

2 pocket folders

pencils

calculator (non-scientific)

Homework/Classroom Policies:

Homework will be assigned regularly. All assignments should be completed on time. Parents will be notified if this becomes a problem.

In the classroom, students are expected to be prepared and attentive. Please ask questions if you are unsure of directions, information presented, or assignments given.

Testing and Grading Procedures:

All tests and quizzes will be announced, no "surprises". A review will take place before each test.

Chapter Tests/Quizzes                                 60%

Cumulative Review                                       15%

HW Class Participation/Classwork            25%
