Homework Policy

Dear Parents,

I have written this letter to answer any questions you may have regarding homework assigned in my classroom. Please read and discuss this letter with your child.

Why do I assign homework?

I believe homework is a valuable tool in helping students make the most of their experience in school. Homework helps reinforce what has been learned in class, teaches responsibility, and helps develop positive study habits.

When will homework be assigned?

Homework will be assigned Monday-Thursday night. Please check your child's homework agenda book for a listing of assignments. Assignments should take no longer than forty minutes each night. If you have any questions or an assignment is taking to long please write a note on the assignment and return it to school the following day.

What are your child's homework responsibilities?

I expect students to do their best job on each assignment. Homework should be done neatly and returned to school the next day or as assigned.

What are my responsibities as a parent?

Parents are the key to making to making homework a positive experience for their children.
