About me
I was born in New York and raised in Queens and Long Island. I am a proud son of immigrants; my father from Italy, and my mother from Cuba. I received my BA in History and Political Science from Fordham College at Lincoln Center and my MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from Hofstra University. I am certified in English as a Second Language as well as Social Studies. I also have a bilingual extension in Spanish. I started in the South Huntington School district in 2008 and I have worked at both Silas Wood 6th Grade School and Walt Whitman High School.
I have always had an interest in history, cultural and linguistic anthropology, and geography. I have been fortunate to have traveled to various countries and had many wonderful experiences. I am passionate about both learning and teaching. I am a husband and proud father of 2 wonderful, yet exhausting kids. I also enjoy the outdoors, comic books and soccer/fútbol/calcio - Forza Juve!
