From 6 to 10 July 2026, Pavlina Jordanova and Nikolay I. Nikolov — took part with talks in the international scientific meeting Mathematics Days in Sofia https://mds.math.bas.bg/, hosted by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Under the patronage of the President of Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova. The event brought together researchers, doctoral students, and experts in numerical analysis, optimization, reliability, probability, and statistics, fostering an environment of active academic exchange and collaboration.
Throughout the three‑day forum, Jordanova and Nikolov participated in thematic sessions dedicated to contemporary statistical and computational methodologies, presented ongoing research directions, and engaged in discussions on innovative approaches in stochastic modeling. Their contribution strengthened the partnership between the teams of the project and IMI‑BAS and enhanced the visibility of current research initiatives in applied probability and statistical modeling.
Special emphasis during the meeting was placed on modern techniques in numerical optimization, reliability analysis, and probabilistic modeling, with a focus on interdisciplinary applications and the integration of advanced computational tools. The participation of the team supported the exchange of best practices and the establishment of new academic connections.
The event was held in a constructive and inspiring atmosphere, and the involvement of Jordanova and Nikolov contributed to the further development of joint scientific activities and future collaborative projects.
