In collaboration with the Department of Education’s visionary approach to education, Malvar Senior High School recently launched the Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) day as part of the implementation of Catch-Up Fridays in accordance with the adoption of the National Learning Recovery Plan (NLRP). This initiative aims to not only enhance academic skills but also intensify values, health, and peace education.
On the first day of the Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) program, students embarked on a literary adventure, bringing a diverse array of books that reflected their interests.
The silent reading sessions created a contemplative atmosphere, fostering a sense of introspection and mindfulness among the students.
Throughout, the teacher facilitated and guided the learners, fostering an environment where the love for reading is observed. This program not only celebrated the joy of reading but also encouraged students to explore genres beyond their academic curriculum.
