Important Information

  • The event is hosted by Shrewsbury International School Bangkok - www.shrewsbury.ac.th on Saturday April 30th.


  • Entry fee is 750thb - this includes chip timing, event t shirt and event swimming hat


    • Registration and Transition will open from 8am.


  • All competitors and guests should enter the school site via the front entrance. - ATK requirements will be published in the week commencing April 25th


  • All competitiors and spectators will be required to wear a mask at all times unless racing.


  • Registration will be located in front of the lower gym


  • All participants must wear a t-shirt during the run - if a rash vest is worn during the swim a t-shirt must be worn over the top - a tshirt is provided as part of the race pack.


  • Adults will not be permitted into the swimmer / participant toilets, there will be clearly signed adult toilets available.


  • There will be no parental access to the transition area - Team coaches and marshalls from Shrewsbury Riverside will be available to help competitors set up.


  • At all times, please respect the volunteer marshals by following their requests.


  • All entries must be pre-registered. Entries will not be accepted on the day of the event.


Aquathon Rules


Individual age group and gender awards

1st, 2nd, 3rd place


Participants will swim (6&U may scooter) and then run:

    • 6 & U Scooter & Run - 400m run to river and back, 1 lap of the track scooter and run to the finish line - All participants will require an adult to accompany them for the run

    • 5 & U Swim 10m (1 width of pool 1 0.75m deep) / 400m run to river and back - All participants will require an adult to accompany them for the run

    • 6 Year Olds Swim 12m (1 width pool 2 1.2m deep) / Run 1/2 lap approximately 700m – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 7 Year Olds Swim 25m / Run Run 1/2 lap approximately 700m – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 8 Year Olds Swim 25m / Run Run 1/2 lap approximately 700m – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 9 Year Olds Swim 25m / Run Run 1/2 lap approximately 700m – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 10 Year Olds Swim 50m / Run Run 1 lap approximately 1.3km – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 11 Year Olds Swim 50m / Run Run 1 lap approximately 1.3km – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 12 Year Olds Swim 100m / Run Run 2 lap each lap approximately 1.3km – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 13 Year Olds Swim 100m / Run Run 2 lap each lap approximately 1.3km – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 14 Year Olds Swim 200m / Run Run 2 lap each lap approximately 1.3km – swimmers may use a kick board if needed

    • 15 Year Olds Swim 200m / Run Run 2 lap each lap approximately 1.3km – swimmers may use a kick board if needed


Participants will require the following:

    • Swim Wear

    • Swim Hat (provided)

    • Trainers

    • T-shirt (if a rash vest is worn during the swim a t-shirt must be worn over the top)

    • Shorts (Swimwear that contains long shorts e.g legsuits / Jammers also require shorts to be worn over the top)

    • Goggles (Optional)

    • Socks (Optional)

    • For Scoot & Run all participants MUST wear a cycle helmet, participants without a helmet WILL NOT be able to compete.


  • Participants must register no later than 20 minutes prior to the start of their event.


  • All swimmers will be marked at registration on both the arm and the leg with their race number


  • Transition will close 15 minutes before the start time of each event. Transition will re-open once all swimmers from the previous race have entered the run course.


  • All swimmers must be on poolside 10 minutes before the start of their event


  • When a race is in progress there will be no access to transition other than for those participants who are racing. Once all swimmers have exited the pool and cleared transition, transition will open for the next wave.


  • There will be no parental or coach access to the transition area


  • Participants must occupy only their designed area, identified by their race number


  • All swimmers must wear a swim hat - this will be given to them at registration


  • All swimmers must start in the water - no diving is permitted


  • The start signal shall beep every 15 seconds.


  • Swimmers will swim around the buoys in a clockwise direction


  • Swimmers may use a kick board if required.


  • Participant must wear shoes, a top and shorts (Swimwear that includes shorts - legsuits / jammers must wear shorts over the top) whilst completing the run section of the course.


  • All participants will wear a mask until they enter the water and immediately once they cross the finish line. This will be provided.


  • All entries must be pre-registered. Entries will not be accepted on the day of the event.
