Thank you for your interest in working on your next tattoo project with me! Please read over my policies & procedures before your appointment to have an understanding of what to expect when you come in, and answer any frequently asked questions you may have. It is your responsibility as a client to familiarize yourself with these policies prior to booking.

Appointment Deposits:

Your deposit secures your appointment date and time - appointments are booked on a first come, first serve basis. If you fail to submit a deposit after an appointment time is offered, you may lose access to that appointment slot.

Deposits are non-refundable. Your deposit may be forfeited if:
You cancel your appointment without intention to reschedule.

Deposits are not transferable to another person or tattoo.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, your deposit may be rolled over for one reschedule, with more than 48 hours notice.  If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours prior to our appointment start time, you will need to pay a new deposit to re-book. Thank you for understanding.

This roll over will only be valid for one month, or at my next available appointment date. One month after your initial appointment date, the deposit will be forfeited.

Your deposit will go towards the final cost of your tattoo.

In-shop behavior and etiquette:

I work out of a small, private studio in Tempe, AZ. Please be mindful of the fact that my space is small.

While I prefer to only have the client in the studio for appointments, I understand that you may want to have a loved-one accompany you at your appointment. My space is limited to one additional guest. I physically do not have the space to accommodate a group larger than 2. Anyone else you may bring will not be permitted into the studio during your appointment. If you have any questions about this, please reach out for clarification.

Please keep in mind, when I am working with you, the client, I’m working to give you a tattoo that you will love. If your guest interferes with decision making about the tattoo that will be on your body, they will be asked to step out and wait in the hall while we discuss placement, design, etc. They will be invited back in when the tattooing begins. Thank you for understanding.

If you or a guest are displaying inappropriate or aggressive behavior, you will be asked to leave and your deposit will be forfeited. Please conduct yourself in an appropriate manner when in my studio.

Feel free to bring whatever you may need to make your appointment as comfortable as possible (blanket, water, snacks, headphones, books, gaming device, etc). My goal in the studio is to create a comfortable, inviting space to make your tattoo experience the absolute best.

Thanks for taking the time to read over my policies, please continue...

Other policies:

●  The state of Arizona allows anyone under the age of 18 to be tattooed with parent/guardian consent. I personally opt to not tattoo any persons under the age of 18. NO MINORS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

●  No persons who are pregnant, or breastfeeding.

●  No persons who are under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

Numbing cream:

●  I currently allow the use of numbing creams at my client's discretion. If you plan to use a numbing agent, please inform me ahead of time so we can discuss how to properly use it, and discuss the pro’s and con’s together. I’ve seen negative impacts when used improperly.

●  Numbing creams may not be necessary. I use numbing sprays while I work, and have had a lot of success and satisfied clients with the products I use. Again, please discuss any concerns you may have regarding the expected pain level of your tattoo.

●  If you arrive at your appointment having used numbing cream without informing me, your appointment may be canceled and deposit forfeited.

Drawing/designs:

Designs of your tattoo typically will not be shared prior to the day of your appointment. I understand the excitement of wanting to know what your tattoo will look like, but please consider the following:
1. Designing is done in the order of my appointments. If I draw your piece ahead of time, I’m taking attention away from other clients and their pieces.

2. Sending a design too early can leave room for overthinking, resulting in us going back and forth over changes that might not be necessary. You will be able to see and make any necessary changes on appointment day.

3. This is YOUR TATTOO, not mine. I will not force any design elements onto you the day of. I take the fact that this is going on YOUR body forever very seriously. Any design elements are your call, and I leave time for discussion at the beginning of your appointment for changes.

Payments:

●  Your deposit will be paid through an invoice that I’ll send when your appointment is booked in my system.
●  The day of your appointment, your deposit will be subtracted from the total amount due.
●  I will never charge more than the quoted amount given for your tattoo. If we make design changes the day of that may require more time, we will discuss if you have room in your budget to make those changes. This is the only instance that the quote may change.

●  Cash is preferred for final payment. I do, however, have the capacity to take card payments. Please note that card payments are subject to transaction fees/tax. Cash payments are not subject to any additional fees.
●  I do not accept any digital transfer payments (venmo, paypal, zelle, cashapp, etc). Cash or card only. Thank you for understanding.

If you have any questions or concerns about any of the above policies, please feel free to reach out for clarification at : shelby@shrefutattoo.com
