About Teacher IVy
I've just started my journey at Seven Hills after working towards licensure for the last two years. I'll be teaching both honors and regular math this year, and I'm excited to watch my students learn and grow.
I grew up in the area of Milwaukee (in a suburb called New Berlin) and went to UW-Madison for my undergraduate degree in Computer Science with a minor in Studio Art - 2D Media. I began my professional education in the Spring of 2024 at Hamline University, where I still attend as I work towards a Master's in Teaching.
When I'm not in class, I also work with young folk to explore teamwork, communication, and fun in tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons.
An important part of my identity is being nonbinary, an experience of gender that does not fit cleanly in the binary of men and women. That's why my name is spelled as it is (it's not a typo, there's a story behind it!) and why I go by "Teacher" instead of Mr. or Ms. Feel free to contact me if you'd like more information about this, as I'm always happy to answer questions about it!

About Math 8
Over the course of the year, students will dive deeper into Algebra, learning linear equations, functions, and systems. Later on we'll work on Geometry, Statistics, and Probability. The curriculum will be drawn mostly from Math in Focus from Marshall Cavendish Education, then supplemented to meet the 2022 MN state standards for math.
