We have some amazing teachers and an educational assistant working with our multilingual students between our Burnsville and Richfield Campus.  They are Kristine Smith and Sofia Lozada at the Burnsville Campus and Jera Seigars, Stephanie Hoeft, and Taj Moore at the Richfield Campus. Ms. Smith has been an ELD teacher for 21 years and is in her 7th year at Seven Hills. Ms. Lozada is in her first year at Seven Hills. Ms. Seigars was a building substitute before starting her current role as an EL teacher and is going into her fifth year at Seven Hills.  Mrs. Hoeft was a fifth-grade and sixth-grade social studies teacher at SHPA before starting her new role last year. This will be her 5th year at Seven Hills. Ms. Moore has been an educational assistant with Seven Hills for the last 6 years and this is her third year full time with the EL Department. 

Your children are amazing and it is a pleasure to work with them each day. The multilingual and multicultural experiences of your students, enrich each other with the important skills needed in international and intercultural relations as they grow.

Our goal is for students to develop their language and communication with a global mindset. This looks like reading short stories from the voices of other multilingual youth, discussing and writing responses from a personal perspective, and how culture plays an important role in our wider society.
