My interest in music education has been a constant throughout my life. As a music educator, I am committed to making music accessible to all students, regardless of their socioeconomic background. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to create, perform, and experience music in a meaningful way.
In my classroom, I encourage students to explore performing and composing music, fostering creativity and self-expression. In addition, I believe movement is an essential part of music learning, helping students engage with rhythm and other musical concepts actively, expressively, and relevantly.
I strive to create a safe, inclusive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and trying new things. Above all, I believe music should be fun, and I aim to cultivate a joyful classroom where students develop a lasting appreciation for music.Â
