Hello, I am Emma Reller!

I am the media specialist at SHPA's Burnsville campus.  I have such a passion for reading and have always wanted to share my passion with others. I was lucky enough to have spent some of my childhood living right behind a library and don't remember a time where I wasn't reading something. Sharing what I love with students and encourage their own passions in school is something I feel I have been preparing for my whole life.

Another part of my childhood was spent living out in the country, playing with animals and taking care of them, domestic or wild. I now get to work at a veterinary clinic on weekends and continue to take care of and play with animals for fun.

Before my time here at SHPA, I worked at Mackin Book Company, where I was a cataloger, or an "Undercover librarian", as I used to say, where I got to expand my knowledge of literary trends.

And before that I was a teaching librarian at a small private Christian school, where I split my time between the classroom and library. I had the amazing opportunity to build the library from the ground up and love hearing how student's are still using it and loving it to this day. Though I loved my time there, I left to pursue a more full time librarian position.

I feel so blessed to be here at Seven Hills as the new librarian and  am so excited for my first year with the wonderful staff and student body that I am immensely excited to continue to get to know!
