Gifted Services

The SLUSD uses CogAt to identify gifted learners. The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is a multiple-choice K-12 assessment that measures reasoning skills with different types of verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal questions.

Please talk with your student's teacher about recommendations for testing.

Gifted testing occurs during the months of November, February, and May.
