Welcome to the Show Low Unified School District Federal Programs

The Show Low Unified School District Federal Programs Department is dedicated to the enhancement of student learning and achievement, the strengthening of district-wide parental involvement, and to supporting the SLUSD staff in their endeavor to provide students with quality educational experiences. Federal Programs is comprised of a variety of programs, some financed through the Every Child Succeeds Act and others through state funds. The programs provide services to help schools more effectively develop, implement, and evaluate their plans for the academic success of all children. Our department is committed to providing a strong foundation for all SLUSD stakeholders.

The Federal Programs Director oversees a number of essential district functions that:

  • Ensure an equitable, high-quality education for all students.

  • Provide a support structure for parents and the surrounding community.

  • Adhere to both state and federal mandates for the benefit of all district stakeholders.

The purpose of Federal Programs is to ensure that all children have a fair and equal opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments by:

-administering all federal funds

-providing technical assistance related to federal program funds to schools in SLUSD

-assisting schools in developing, revising, and implementing their schoolwide continuous improvement plans.

Receiving federal funds allows our school system to implement research-based initiatives that supplement and enhance the school system's outstanding educational programs. Most importantly, federal funds supplement needed services to enrich the lives of our students.
