Studio closures due to severe weather will be announced by 8:00AM for morning classes and 2:00PM for evening classes. Families will receive notifications via email, text (if opted in through the Jackrabbit portal), Facebook, Instagram, and on the studio’s voicemail message.
To provide flexibility while keeping class routines consistent, we’ve reserved select days during our Intersessional Break in February for weather make-ups. If classes are canceled due to snow, dancers may attend on their regular class day during that week.
Each weekday (Monday through Saturday) has one make-up opportunity built into the break. If your class day did not experience a weather closure, you will not have class during that time.
This approach ensures that every dancer has a dedicated chance to reconnect with their teacher and classmates, review choreography, and stay on track for the recital — all while maintaining a smooth, predictable schedule for families.
SDS provides a scheduled Intersessional Break in February (16-21) with one make-up opportunity per class day (Monday–Saturday). Dancers will only attend during the break if their class was canceled due to weather or another unforeseen event.
