Catherine Rayner is an Edinburgh-based British illustrator and writer of children's books. She finds huge inspiration in her pets and often uses them as models. As well as writing and illustrating books, Catherine exhibits her artwork in galleries.

Freya Blackwood is an Australian illustrator and special effects artist. She worked on special effects for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy from 2001 to 2003 and won the Kate Greenaway Medal for British children's book illustration in 2010. Find out more about Freya at her website.
