We NEED Soccer Goals!

Have you noticed a lot more soccer is being played at Lake Bluff, but the one thing we don’t have is soccer goals. A lot of kids have been wanting some for years. Here are ten reasons why we should have soccer goals at Lake Bluff.
Atwater already has them. The other elementary school in Shorewood already has soccer goals, and it would be nice if Lake Bluff had some too.
We would have more things to do at recess.
We have space for them too, with zone 3 being the perfect spot.
Lots of kids also play soccer outside of school, and it would help them practice.
Soccer is also easy to learn even if you are a beginner.
Soccer goals aren’t that expensive and last for a long time.
On the weekends other people could use them to play soccer.
You may say, Lake Bluff already has soccer goals. Well, we do but we only have one and it is very tiny and hard to score on and especially hard if there is a goalie.
I like to play goalie during soccer but it is hard to tell what to do if the ball is coming to the corner because we have used coats and sweaters for goal posts so some of the players get really cold.
We also have many arguments about if it is a goal or not and sometimes those arguments don’t end very well. With real goals we won’t have this problem.
So you may be thinking, isn't it a little late to get goals we don’t even have a month of school left? Well, this goes back to the part where we told you we would play soccer in the summer. And there are more years for students to play soccer on the goals.
We are going to ask some people what they think about adding soccer goals.
Ty, also a fifth grader in Mac 3 Oak who plays goalie says, “I think we should get goals because whenever there is a goal we don’t have to run back, and also so we can have realistic goal posts to get experiences like rebounds.”
Alex, also a fifth grader in Mac 3 Oak says, "We should get goals because I think more people would enjoy soccer at school and it would be nice things to have."
Kamron, another fifth grader says, "It would be good for the school also that after there is a goal we would not have to run back and waste recess."
Those are some reasons we want soccer goals.
