Veterans Day was not too long ago. But, what exactly does Veterans Day mean? You probably guessed! It’s in its name!
Veterans Day is the day where we honor our veterans, dead or alive. (There is another holiday like Veterans Day, but we only celebrate the lives of veterans who have passed away. That's called Memorial Day.) A veteran is somebody who works in one of the following:
The Navy
The Army
The Air Force
The Coast Guard
The Marines (which are technically the Navy)
Veterans Day is on November 11, or 11/11. The World War l ended on this day, and surprisingly also ended at 11:00! That’s 3 11s!
The point is, the veterans fought this war. So many people died, so that’s why we celebrate veterans on Veterans Day.
Veterans Day is very important and memorable. Hope that you had a good Veterans Day!
