USFL by Evan and Alex
The USFL, or the United States Football League, kicking off in April 2022, and ending in mid June. It consists of 8 teams, a 10 game schedule, and will be played in Birmingham Alabama. The USFL already had an attempt at being another football league in 1982 but shut down in 1986, by the court, due to a lawsuit against the NFL. In the 4 years the league was active in the 80s there were 18 teams, like the Chicago Blitz. The teams now are the Michigan Panthers, the New Jersey Generals, the Houston Gamblers, the Pittsburgh Maulers, the Birmingham Stallions, the Tampa Bay Bandits, the Philadelphia Stars, and the New Orleans Breakers.
Who Thought This
The former U.S president Donald Trump owned the New Jersey Generals in the 1985 season. In that season the Generals went 11-7 finishing second place in the USFL’s Eastern Conference. That year was the USFL’s last season as a league until now.
Well I guess we will wait till April to see if this league will last.
