In Lake Bluff, there are many opportunities that you get once get in 4th grade… Orchestra or Band!
This is Ahdia, who plays violin, and she is telling us something about orchestra:
Well, orchestra is hard depending on the instrument you play but I play violin; and the more you play the more you get used to it. But right now, it’s getting harder because we are working on lines that have no labels.
And this is Margaret, who plays trumpet, telling us something about band:
Band is very fun! Your teacher is Ms. Myszewski, and she is very nice and funny. She will give you Baby Yoda bucks that you can trade in for prizes! So fun! But you have to earn them. Band is very fun; but as Ahdia mentioned, orchestra is fun too!!
Learn about the possibilities in orchestra or band!
If you are in band, your lessons are on Thursdays, and if you have orchestra the lessons are on Tuesdays. You can play a string instrument, like viola or violin or cello or bass. If you didn’t know already, the orchestra teacher is Ms. Nolan.
If you are in band, you can play a wind instrument, like flute or trombone or trumpet. You can also play percussion, like drums or xylophone. You get prizes for the first week of the month if you have Baby Yoda Bucks.
You might think one sounds better than the other, but both are fun! It is an interesting experience either way. Have lots of fun if you are in 4th or older and you joined orchestra or band!!
