Disappearing Dividers
by Siena & Juniper
Why did they take down the dividers? We interviewed people about what they think of taking down the dividers and here are their responses.
First we interviewed Christopher about his thoughts and here is what he thinks: “I like having no dividers, it makes it easier to see friends but there are also disadvantages for one thing, it could be unsanitary, for another it invades privacy. I don’t want a divider because it would be boring. Besides, if everyone is quiet everything should be fine.”
Christopher thinks it unsanitary because he thinks “more germs will get into our body's easier.” Juniper asked him if he liked changing spots or not. Here is what he said: “I liked it because now I get to sit next to my best friend!”
That is all from Christopher. Let’s hear what Henry has to say.
Pros: “People don’t talk to each other they just listen” Henry explained.
Samatha said ”You can see teachers better when they're on stage now that the dividers are down.”
Cons: "The germs will go to the people in front of you if you talk.” Henry and Samantha agreed.
Last but not least we talked to Ms. Rasco about why they actually took down the dividers and here is what she said: “We took down the dividers because our Superintendent looked at what the CDC (Center of Disease Control) said about the dividers and they said that the dividers are not reliable.”
We also asked about if she thinks it works and the pros and cons. “I think it's working but we have to not talk, but it's also nice to see friends. Some pros are that we are more connected and it saves some time to eat, and some cons are that a lot of families don’t understand.”
In conclusion there are many different opinions about the dividers some people think it’s good some people think it’s bad.
