Do you know what a book genre is? A book genre is basically the category of a book. Everybody has their own favorite genre. I’m going to name a few.

One genre is realistic fiction, which is personally my favorite genre. Realistic fiction books tell the story of things that didn’t actually happen, but are very realistic and it’s possible that they could happen.

Another one of my favorite genres are mysteries, because you never want to stop reading until you find the answer to the mystery.

Another good genre is fantasy fiction. Fantasy fiction is about things that couldn’t happen in real life. Getting sucked through a portal to a different dimension is an example of fantasy fiction.

Another genre I would recommend is nonfiction. Nonfiction tells the story of something that is true. Nonfiction could be about animals, famous people, or life a long time ago.

I also really like science fiction. Science fiction books are kind of like fantasy. They are about aliens, trips to different planets, etc.

Everybody likes different genres, so it’s OK if you try a genre and decide you don’t like it. You can try these different genres and decide which one you like the most, and then you can read more books of this genre. Have fun reading!
