Dream Diary by Lumora is a private, local-first journal for iPhone. Below is everything you need: a short privacy summary and how to reach us.
PRIVACY POLICY
We collect nothing. Your diary entries stay on your device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The app makes no network calls, has no analytics, and contains no third-party SDKs. If you choose to export, the resulting Markdown files (plain or encrypted) go to a folder you pick via the iOS Files app. Purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit; Apple's privacy policy applies. We have no servers and no databases. Nothing leaves the device unless you choose to export.
The encryption key is generated on first launch and stored inside the iOS Keychain with kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlockThisDeviceOnly and Synchronizable = false. The key never syncs to iCloud and never leaves the device.
Children: Dream Diary is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Your rights: Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete. Your diary content is yours. Deleting the app removes the local encrypted database from your device.

FAQ
Where is my data stored? On your iPhone, encrypted at rest. The encryption key is in your iOS Keychain. It does not sync to iCloud, and it does not leave your device.
Will Dream Diary work offline? Yes. The app has no online features. You can write, read, search, and export entries with no network access.
Can I move my journal to another app? Yes. Use Settings -> Export diary. Choose plain Markdown for Obsidian, Notion, or any text tool. Or choose encrypted Markdown if you want the export private too.
What happens if I delete the app? The local encrypted database is removed from your device. If you have not exported your entries, they will be unrecoverable. Please export periodically.
What happens if I forget my export password? We cannot recover it. The password never leaves your device, and Dream Diary has no way to reset it. Use the free Lumora Decryptor for Mac if you need to read encrypted exports later.
Is there a Mac version? The main app is iPhone-only. We provide a small free Mac companion called Lumora Decryptor that converts encrypted exports back to plain Markdown so AI tools can read them.
How do I unsubscribe? There is nothing to unsubscribe from. Dream Diary is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
