Bump! Set! Spike! Come out and play volleyball for Shirland. We don't cut, but you do have to be in 4th grade to play. This is a co-ed team.
Boys and Girls have their separate team and seasons, but if you want to play basketball and you are in 4th grade or older, you can play.
Want to learn how to code and play with cool robots at the same time? Come and sign up for Robotics Club! Open for students in 3rd grade through 8th grade.

Another spring tradition at Shirland. 7th and 8th grade students will tour historical sites and have a great time on our day trip to Springfield!
Join the Cheerleading team at Shirland. There are no cuts and you must be in 4th grade to participate.
Love to sing? Then join choir with Ms. Heavilin. This elective meets during the school day during middle school specials, but has some after school performances.

Improve your art skills with Mrs. James in an elective for middle school students that takes place during study hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Permission slip from parents and teachers required along with art supplies.
Help Mrs. Dobnick create a memorable yearbook that the entire school enjoys! You get to take pictures, create spreads, and eventually publish your work.
Compete in the IJAS regional science fair individually or with a small team! This is a rigorous extra curricular project!
