Applying

I found a school I love, how do I apply?

• • Create a Common App account and fill it out.

    • Make sure to add your Counselor or Pathway Adviser as your Common App Counselor. 

    • Add colleges to your Common App that you want to apply to

    • Ask the Guidance Office for any assistance.

  • Find out what tests the school requires, if any

    • Sign up for the SATs or ACTs if you haven't already taken them or want to improve your scores.

  • Make sure you are aware of the application deadlines!

  • Begin thinking about who you would like to write a recommendation letter for you

    • Usually 2 teachers, a school counselor, and/or someone outside of academics (ie, coach, mentor, pastor, boss, etc)

  • Talk to the guidance office to see if those schools will be coming for an instant decision day or if they offer free applications!

• Alright, I've completed my application, now what?

  • • Order your transcript through Parchment. NOTE- You do not have to request your transcript if you applied via Common App.

    • Let Guidance know where you've applied!
