What is the Indiana College Core (ICC)?
The Statewide Transfer General Education Core (STGEC) is a certificate that learners can complete while still in high school. The courses completed within this certificate cover the General Education requirements for their college degree and will transfer to any public university in the state of Indiana. All credits accumulated in the completion of this certificate will transfer maintaining the status of a Freshman to these schools, allowing learners to still qualify for Freshman scholarships.
If your learner is interested in pursuing the STGEC, they should speak with their advisor and contact the Teen Transition Coordinator, Caitlin, at cclemons@shiningminds.com and include their advisor on the email.
