Class Newsletters 

Newsletter: October 12 - October 16 

Reading: We will learn about the vowel +r sounds, critical vocabulary, point of view, make/confirm predictions, literary elements, multiple meaning words, author’s craft and the prefixes over- and under-. Our cold read test is Friday, October 16.

English & Writing: We will learn about what a noun is and common/proper nouns. We will continue writing as well.

Math: We will learn about mental math: finding quotients, mental math: estimating quotients, mental math: estimating quotients for greater dividends, and interpreting the remainder.

Science: We will learn about how plants and animals are classified and how plants reproduce.

Social Studies: The Northeast Abbreviations & Map Test is Tuesday, October 13. We will also learn about what conditions powered the Industrial Revolution.
