Class Newsletters 

Newsletter: January 5 - January 9

Reading: We will learn about words with the /k/, /ng/, and /kw/ sounds, critical vocabulary, text/graphic features, summarize, reference sources, central idea, text structure, and the Greek roots auto, bio, photo, and graph. Our cold read test is Friday, January 9.

English & Writing:  We will learn about adjectives and ordering adjectives. We will also begin opinion writing. 

Math: We will learn about modeling addition of fractions, decomposing fractions, improper/mixed numbers, and adding fractions with like denominators. 

Science: We will begin Chapter 6 and learn about how minerals are classified.     

Social Studies: We will learn about the Midwest map and abbreviations and will begin Chapter 4. We will learn about how the Midwest climate and geography affected the early people.
