Class Newsletters 

Newsletter: August 24 -28 

Reading: We will learn about long/short e sounds, critical vocabulary, context clues, poetry, point of view, characters, and the prefixes mis-, dis-, and pre-. Our cold read test will be Friday, August 28. 

English & Writing: We will learn about commands/exclamations and subjects/predicates. We will continue writing.

Math:  The Topic 1 Math Test is Monday, August 24. We will also learn about estimating sums/differences, adding whole numbers, adding greater numbers, and subtracting whole numbers. 

Science: We will learn about heat. Our Chapter 1 Test should be Tuesday, September 1.

Social Studies: We will continue to learn about how geography defines a region. We will also learn about how America has stayed united through growth and challenges. The Continents & Oceans Test should be Wednesday, September 2.
