Class Newsletters 

Newsletter: September 29 - October 3 

Reading: We will learn about the vowel sounds ŏŏ and ōō, critical vocabulary, synonyms/antonyms, plot, theme, author’s craft, and the suffixes -ful, -ous, and -less. Our cold read test is  Friday, October 3.

English & Writing: We will learn about quotations marks, quotations, and titles. We will start our narrative writing story. The Unit 5 Test should be Tuesday, October 7. 

Math: We will earn about using models to multiply 2 digit numbers by multiples of 10, estimate: use rounding or compatible numbers, arrays and partial products, area models and partial products, and using partial products to multiply 2 digit numbers. The Topic 4 Test should be Thursday, October 9.

Science: We will learn about how energy can change. The Chapter 3 Test should be Tuesday, October 7.

Social Studies:  We will begin Chapter 2 and learn about how the geography of the Northeast influenced the way people lived.
