I am thrilled to be starting my 6th year as Sherwood Charter School's Art Teacher. I have a bachelor's degree from Florida State University where I double majored in Art Education and Studio Art. I bring nine years experience teaching art full time, several years working with preschool aged children as well as several years experience with a large format graphics company.
If you are my student, I want you to know that as long as you practice consistently you will improve. I want you to grow in your ability to communicate with and understand others, especially through a visual means. I want you to become discerning in your aesthetics so you can design a life and space that best suits you and those you care about most. I want you to find ways to use your mistakes and challenges to propel yourself forward rather than hold you back. I want you to know that I, and a great many others, want you to succeed and that your success is how I measure my own.
When I'm not teaching, I can be found raising my two young daughters, rocking out to live music with a sketchbook in hand, paddle-boarding, roller-skating or taking my dog for walks.
