Shepherd Public Schools wants to promote the best use of technology in support of teaching and learning. We value the partnership of parents and caregivers when learning occurs outside of the school building. As an important reminder, all students and adults using Shepherd Public Schools technology platforms must adhere to the expectations set forth in the Student Technology Acceptable Use And Safety Policy. In general, students and adults should be sure to:
Use respectful behavior and language.
Stick to appropriate topic discussions.
Send only appropriate video transmissions.
Use only appropriate icon, emoji, and avatar submissions.
Wear school appropriate clothing if attending meetings via video.
Be honest and use academic integrity by not plagiarizing or copying others’ work
Not falsify information about oneself or impersonate others online.
When everyone remembers to act kindly, show consideration for others, and treat one another online as they wish to be treated in person, students and adults alike will be able to focus on learning.

Usage Guidelines:
Shepherd Public Schools will be providing public hotspots throughout the district. We are hoping that this will provide our students without access a place to connect to the Internet and engage in online education. In doing so, we want to do this with public safety in mind and to follow these guidelines:
Any student that utilizes the Bluejay-WiFi public hotspots should remain in a vehicle at all times.
If a student needs to walk to one of the locations, they should stay at least 6 feet away from the nearest individual.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students, residents, and families safe.
The district is providing 1:1 devices for all students to take home.

Your Wi-Fi Name (SSID) and Password can be found on your Jetpack display upon initial power up.
You can also find your Wi-Fi Name and Password any time you need. Just press the power/menu button shortly when the display is on.
The District employs Internet filters and monitors students’ Internet activity at school and will also provide filtering and monitoring of students’ Internet access at home or off school grounds. It is still highly recommended that parents/guardians monitor their student’s Internet usage. Parents/guardians assume complete responsibility for the Internet access beyond the network provided by the District. When using the device outside the District, students are bound by the same policies, procedures, and guidelines as in school.
