SFC Stephenson is originally from Doerun Georgia and enlisted in the United States Army in 1994 after graduating from high school.  After serving in the military for 22 years he retired in July 2016 and moved to Texas.  SFC Stephenson established the JROTC program Pirate Battalion, at Shepherd High School in the summer of 2016.
