Welcome to Shenandoah, and thank you for agreeing to judge at this, our 2024 District Large Group Contest!

The 2024 Judge Refresher video above should be reviewed by all judges prior to the contest day.  There will be an additional video that will be viewed at the judges' meeting, but please take some time to watch the video above BEFORE CONTEST DAY.

Judges' Meeting will begin at 7:00AM in the Judges' Lounge (Room 100).  Breakfast options will be provided (including the infamous Donut Stop Donuts)!  This is a place where you're welcome to store your things if you'd like.  Lunch (soups, sandwiches, and homemade pie!) will be served here, and you can always pop in to grab coffee, water, soda, or snacks.

I'm hoping that all paperwork has been accounted for & you'll all be leaving with your paycheck after the contest day!  Fingers crossed all the i's have been dotted and t's have been crossed!

All Centers should finish at or before 4:30pm on the day of contest.  If any Centers are running long, we can do some juggling to help as needed.  Please remember to try and keep your oral comments to about 2-3 minutes per performer; this will definitely help us stay on track!

You can see the schedule here on the website.  You should also have received information about your Center in the email where you got the link to this website.  Let me know if you have questions or concerns.  Also, try to look over the students scheduled in your Center ahead of time to determine whether there are any you should not judge so we can make necessary arrangements to have someone cover for you or do some shuffling of students.

I've ordered up sunny skies and moderate temperatures for the day of contest, so we shouldn't have any weather-related issues.  However, if the universe doesn't see fit to meet my wishes, announcements about postponement or cancellation will be made on KMA radio; you can check Cancellations on their website, too, if you can't tune in.  Should we have to cancel, the scheduled make-up date for contest is Wednesday, January 25th starting at 2:30pm.  Consider whether you'd be available if this were the case, and more information would be forthcoming.
