Sheltering Arms Children and Family Services Health Clinic brings together providers experienced in serving the unique health care needs of children and youth living in foster care and juvenile justice residential placements with an integrated, team approach to care. We are dedicated to providing evidence-based primary medical care for children from birth through young adulthood who live with foster parents, kinship families, in group homes or in Close-To-Home placements. We work closely with all members of the agency to coordinate any medical, emotional, and social needs while a child is in care.
Clinical Services
Primary care services including well visits and same day sick visits
in-person and virtual visits
Nurse visits for vaccines and lab work can be scheduled
After hours provider phone availability
Care coordination with community specialists
Nutrition support
Comprehensive and focused, trauma-informed psychological assessments
Individual and family therapy
Psychiatric consultation
Developmental assessment and education for infants and toddlers
Well Child Visits
Important to keep tabs on growth, development and behavior
Recommended Wellness Visits
*comprehensive medical visits within 30 days of placement, follow-up in 1 month
Immunizations
We follow the routine immunization schedule approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
