Here are some ideas for things you can do without a device


  • Make a budget of money into the house and expenses needed to fit within the budget

  • Create a special card for an elderly relative or friend

  • Prepare a menu for the week and locate recipes to use

  • Make a shopping list for the menu using catalogues and add up the amount needed, making sure that this is within the budget

  • Helping parents to tidy and clean the house, learning the correct way to make a bed and clean the kitchen and bathroom

  • Sorting, counting and classifying items in the pantry

  • Look after the garden and learn how to care for plants

  • Make a list of ways to keep safe at home

  • Play learning games with caregivers and siblings - games like Monopoly teach financial literacy skills and other games encourage higher order thinking skills

  • Go on a nature walk to identify plants, trees flowers and find interesting objects to bring home and study

  • Learn a new skill like crochet or knitting

  • Create an obstacle course inside or out and invite parents to test it

  • Learn to bake biscuits and create a new an interesting addition to change the basic recipe

  • Design a board game for teaching a maths concept and test it out on parents

  • Make a city using Lego and write about how it works for people

Letter Box Cricket


With lots of people walking around their neighbourhood, we thought it would be cool to show our sports teams some love. Put on your team jersey (whatever the sport) and get out and play the Letterbox 100, scoring runs/points while walking in your bubble!

How do I score runs?

The first 100 letterboxes you see on your walk will determine how many runs you score. Points are based on what colour letterboxes you see. If you come across a black letterbox, you've been caught out!


Simply print off a scorecard below, take note of the colour of the next letterbox you see and look at your scorecard to see how many runs that letterbox earns you
